Spidey Tracker is an independent fan project: a free, browser-based Spider-Man sightings map built and published by one person, with no studio behind it.
Spidey Tracker is not an official site. It is not affiliated with, authorised by or endorsed by Sony Pictures, Marvel or Samsung. The studio ran its own Spider-Man: Brand New Day campaign site at spideytracker.net. This Spidey Tracker is a fan rebuild of that idea, published separately at spideytracker.app.
WHO PUBLISHES THIS SITE
Spidey Tracker is written, built and maintained by a single independent developer who works on it as a fan of the character, not as a contractor for anyone. There is no team inbox, no press office and no brand approval chain. That also means responsibility is easy to locate: if something on Spidey Tracker is wrong, out of date or should not be here at all, one person reads the message and fixes it. WHAT SPIDEY TRACKER ACTUALLY IS
The Spidey Tracker map is a single page you can open in any modern browser. It plots confirmed campaign sightings, community-reported leads and real-world events on a world map, and each pin opens a file: an image, a video transmission, an event listing or a Web Watch dossier linking that pin back to the wider story. No install, no account, no paywall.
The framing comes from the film itself. In-story, the tracker is Ned Leeds’ own attempt to keep up with too many Spider-Man signals at once, which is why the interface reads like a fan’s command center rather than a press page. That tone is the point of the whole Spidey Tracker experience, and it is why rebuilding it felt worth the effort.
WHY A FAN REBUILD EXISTS AT ALL
Marketing sites are temporary. They go up for a release window and quietly disappear, taking a genuinely nice piece of interaction design with them. Spidey Tracker is an attempt to keep one of those experiences openable after the campaign moves on — the same way fans archive trailers, posters and websites for films they care about.
The rebuild itself is the original work here. The map, the pixel interface, the pin behaviour, the boot sequence and the panel system were reconstructed from scratch as an Astro site: every component re-authored, every animation re-timed, every piece of layout rewritten to run as a static page on modern hosting. What you are using is a reimplementation, not a copied folder.
WHERE THE CONTENT COMES FROM
- Confirmed pins map to campaign material the studio already published publicly — trailers, stills, activations and announced events.
- Rumored pins are community sightings shared publicly on X. They stay labelled as unverified leads and are never presented as evidence.
- Web Watch files are contextual notes connecting a pin to characters, places and objects in the story.
- Nothing on Spidey Tracker is a live GPS feed. Pins are story signals with timestamps, not real-time locations of a real person.
RIGHTS, CREDIT AND TAKEDOWNS
Spider-Man and all related characters, logos and campaign material are the property of their respective rights holders. Spidey Tracker claims no ownership over them and makes no attempt to pass itself off as their publisher. Where campaign imagery appears on this site it is used to document and discuss the campaign.

HOW SPIDEY TRACKER IS FUNDED
Spidey Tracker is free and stays free. Hosting is paid for by advertising placed on the written content pages of this site. The map page itself carries no ad units at all — an interactive experience with ads dropped into it is a worse experience, and mixing ad slots into a map full of clickable pins is how accidental clicks happen.
