POLICY.
Last updated 8 August 2026. This page describes exactly what spideytracker.app collects, who else is involved, and what you can do about it.
The short version. There is no account, no login and no user database. The site sets three functional cookies, runs Google Analytics and Google AdSense, embeds YouTube videos and map tiles, and makes one country-level location lookup on page load. It does not collect your name, email, address or precise location.
WHO IS RESPONSIBLE
spideytracker.app is published by an independent fan developer operating under the name Spidey Tracker. It is not affiliated with Sony Pictures, Marvel or Samsung. For any privacy question, correction or request, write to [email protected].
WHAT THIS SITE COLLECTS
Nothing you type is collected, because there is nothing to type: no forms, no sign-up, no comments, no uploads. The data involved falls into three buckets — device storage set by this site, measurement data collected by Google, and ordinary server request data.

These are first-party, functional and never sent anywhere. A single browser localStorage key
(push_notif_seen) is used for the same purpose. Clearing site data in your browser removes all of them.
2. Location
On page load the site requests a country code from an Amazon CloudFront endpoint, which derives it from the IP
address of the request. The result is a two-letter code such as US or DE, and it is used
only to decide which regional pins and event listings to display. The site never calls your browser's geolocation
permission, never requests GPS coordinates and never stores your IP address itself.
3. Server logs
The site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes standard request data (IP address, user agent, requested URL, timestamp) to serve pages and protect against abuse. Map, event and social-feed data is fetched through this site's own Cloudflare functions, so those upstream sources do not receive your request directly.

ADVERTISING AND PERSONALISATION
Google, as a third-party vendor, uses cookies to serve ads on this site, and third-party vendors including Google may use cookies or device identifiers to serve ads based on your prior visits to this or other websites. You can opt out of personalised advertising at adssettings.google.com, and opt out of some third-party vendors' use of cookies at aboutads.info. Automatic (auto) ads are switched off on this site, so no ad is ever injected into the interactive map.
CONSENT IN THE EEA, UK AND SWITZERLAND
If you visit from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, a Google-certified consent message is shown before non-essential cookies are used for analytics or advertising. You choose whether to allow personalised ads, and you can reopen that choice at any time from the prompt's controls. Declining does not restrict any part of the site — the map, the pins and every content page stay fully usable.
PUSH NOTIFICATIONS
The interface includes an optional notification prompt inherited from the original campaign experience. It is currently switched off: no service worker is registered for push, no subscription is created and no notification is ever sent. If it is switched on in future, it will still require you to accept an explicit browser permission prompt, and this page will be updated first.
RETENTION
Cookies set by this site expire after twelve months, or immediately when you clear site data. Google Analytics data is retained under Google's own retention settings for the property. Emails you send are kept only for as long as needed to deal with the message and are not added to any mailing list.
YOUR RIGHTS
- Clear cookies and site data for spideytracker.app to erase everything stored on your device.
- Install the Google Analytics opt-out add-on to stop analytics measurement.
- Adjust or withdraw advertising consent through the consent prompt or through Google's ad settings.
- If you are covered by the GDPR, UK GDPR or CCPA, you may ask what is held about you, ask for it to be corrected or deleted, and object to processing. Because no account exists, in practice this concerns only email correspondence. Write to [email protected].
CHILDREN
This is a general-audience site. It is not directed at children under 13, and it does not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has sent personal information through the contact address, email [email protected] and it will be deleted.
CHANGES TO THIS POLICY
Any change in what this site loads or stores is reflected here before it ships, and the date at the top of the page is updated. There is no mailing list, so checking this page is the way to see the current version.
PRIVACY FAQ
Does Spidey Tracker ask for my precise location?
No. The site never calls your browser's geolocation permission and never asks for GPS coordinates. On page load it makes one request to an Amazon CloudFront endpoint that returns a two-letter country code derived from your IP address, which is used to decide which regional pins and events to show. Nothing finer than country level is requested or stored.
Does Spidey Tracker show ads, and does it use advertising cookies?
The site loads Google AdSense. Ad units appear only on written content pages — the map page and these information pages carry no ad units. Google and its partners may set cookies or read device identifiers to serve and measure ads; you can review and change those choices at adssettings.google.com.
Do I need an account, and does Spidey Tracker store my name or email?
No account exists and none can be created. The only personal data the site ever holds is what you choose to put in an email to [email protected], and that is kept only as long as needed to answer you.
What cookies does Spidey Tracker set itself?
Three first-party cookies, all functional and all set to expire after one year: seen (which one-time screens you have already dismissed), spidey_seen_pins (which map pins you have opened) and spidey_last_visit (a timestamp used to mark new sightings). None of them identify you or leave this site.
How do I opt out of tracking or ask for my data to be deleted?
